Home Invasion

Sarah had just headed home from a long two hours of grocery shopping and was worn out. She shuffled feet up the path to her front house, doing her best to unlock the door while juggling her bags. Finally the lock made a click and she pushed to door open, moving fast towards the kitchen to drop off her groceries on the table. After doing so she moved back to the door to shut and lock it, noticing out the window how bright it still was. It seemed so much later to her after the stressful day of hopping to stores trying to get all the best deals.

With a sigh, Sarah turns back to the kitchen and starts to put away the frozen and refrigerated goods first, kicking off her red sandals to the side of the fridge. The cool tiles under her feet felt great and she stretched out her toes for a moment before going back to putting groceries away. Soon as I'm done here, I'm going to kick back and relax until dinner, She thought to herself.

Triston had been waiting in her kitchen for her to get home. He always enjoys when she goes out for groceries, he always takes a little bit of the food without her noticing but he was a bit klutzy this time around and accidentally knocked over a bag of groceries Ohhhh i hope she didn't hear that!

She froze in place for a moment then turned around, the sudden loud noise of a paper bag falling over surprising her in the quiet of the house. Turning from the fridge, she walks over to the table to right the bag and organize what spilled out on the table. Luckily for her the eggs were already put away. Only boxes were left in that bag.

He see's you approach the bag and immediately darts for the edge and starts to climb down the table hoping she hadn't seen him. he dreads to think what she would do to him! he panics as the climb down the table is a rather long one for him and gives her a lot of time to see him. as he climbs down he see's you start to pick up the box's that had fallen out and he tries sliding down but looses his grip and falls to the floor. he lands on his tail so he wasn't hurt but he did however make a loud thump as he hit the ground.

Sarah sees something out of the corner of her eye and turns her head to see what it was. At first it was like her mind couldn't process what she was seeing. Then after he fell and made a thump sound she knew it had to be real. It was a little man! She took quick steps over to him and bent to pick him up, reaching a hand out to grab him.

He had been a bit dazed when he had fallen then he see's the hand reaching for him while he was trying to get back up and falls back down then just backs away just scooting across the ground until he bumps into the wall cornered there just to watch as you grab him in a panic he starts to bat at your hand not knowing what you would do but thinking the worst.

When she feels you bat at her hand she hesitates and then moves her hand to lay on the ground palm side up. She hadn't meant to fright the poor thing but wanted to get a better look.

"It's okay little guy. I don't want to hurt you. I only wanted a closer look. you're so small!"

He looks up at her then back at her hand a bit afraid but if she had wanted to hurt him she would've done it then and there so hesitantly he walks into your palm and sits on it wrapping his tail around your finger so he wont fall off

"O-Okay, Ju-just a loo-ok?"

She nodded with a reassuring smile. "I promise."

Sarah raised her hand slowly and turned to sit at the kitchen table, elbows resting on the table and propping up the hand that held the small man in her hand. This was just too amazing! She had heard old tales of the wee folk but though it fairy tales. He looked almost like any other boy just on a small scale.

"What are you exactly?"

his tail tightens up on your hand as you raise him, She see's him twich alot nervously "t-thanks" as you raise him to the table he looks around as you put me up onto the table something that would've tooken him minutes to do you did in seconds! he looks up at you as you ask

"u-uhm wh-what do you m-mean?"

he doesnt exactly know what he is

She tilts her head curiously as she looks down at him, still with her kind smile and curious eyes.

"Well I'm a human woman for one and my name is Sarah. I was wondering if you were a different race because of how small you are. Do you know anything about your people?"

He looks at your kind smile and feels a bit of trust arising
"wel-l i-im t-triston.." tilts his head when you mention other people "i-ive n-never met an-anyone e-else my si-size" he loosens his grip off his tail a bit

(I don’t know if it’s ok for me to join the RP in the middle of it, but I hope it’s fine seeing that this is an open RP with no Character sheets or anything. If I’m wrong, then I will quit if you want me to.)

“GAH…” A sound came out of me that sounded similar to that of squeezing a teddy bear. “You…” I managed to gasp. “You didn’t belong there anyways.” He replied. “How could you… Killing one of your own…” I started backing away, as fast as my paw would let me. ”They will be asking questions…” I told him. “Oh yes.” The killer grinned his teeth. “I know they will” I turned and ran, as quick as I could in the opposite direction, as fast as my injured paw would let me. I didn’t get far. I rammed my head into a pipe wall sending echoes around  the entire field. The killer was startled. It was her house. “Good luck” he ran off immediately. I was left in the silence. I heard footsteps. It was a Human, surely. Most likely, it was her. Something dropped. A clang could be heard as two things hit the fridge. Then, the sound of cans being put on shelves. My super sensitive hearing could register that. Then a couple of more sounds. Something significantly smaller hit the ground. A coin or similar, but not metal. And muffled talking. It wouldn’t be long until the sound of the my head banging into the pipe would echo into the kitchen. And it sounded like a knock to the door while it was at it. The very pipe I hit was the one closest to the door. I was in an unlucky situation. With a broken and bleeding paw I couldn’t run. I couldn’t hide. What could happen to me might be something worse than Death. Humans put us, hamsters in cages, and we have to endure tortures for our whole lives. Negotiating freedom was useless. That’s what I thought. The whole colony taught us that all humans, every single one, were a bloodthirsty race that will always find the most cruel way to dispose of you. I now know, that only a very small amount of humans are those bloodthirsty barbarians that our folklore and stories are all about…

“Negotiating freedom is useless…” Were my final thoughts before I lost consciousness.

Behind a car tire, The killer watched me fall to the ground. A sudden feeling shook him. He knew what it was. Guilt.
