When I was playing Tinker's Construct on LB, it annoyed me that I couldn't simply craft an iron sword using the vanilla recipe... I had to go through the whole convoluted routine of smelting the blade from scratch, and the same happened with other recipes too.  That, and suddenly diamond pickaxes can't break obsidian, I mean WTH?!

So that's too disruptive, and to be fair this could be the reason why we may end up jettisoning Biomes O Plenty as well since it disrupts terrain generation too much for little in return as far as maintaining the theme.  Sad

On the other hand, that mod is also the best at keeping up-to-date, and it makes the nether more interesting

I'm actually not a fan of making tons of changes to the Nether. I've played mod packs where the Nether was pretty much unrecognizable, and it just felt wrong.

Well granted Little Blocks will be more doable, and we could Morph down to something that could seem to live in them.  It's a possibility, although now I'm beginning to worry that we're piling on too many mods.

This might be okay if people are willing to install so many mods or create a mod collection, but I'm not sure how "legal" the last option could be.

Well, with Little Blocks, there is that lag problem that we should take into consideration too. That's the only reason it's not on Big Sister that I've heard, so it may cause a problem there.

Not exactly, but there was a mod(or config) that disabled tool crafting in order to add a little difficulty.

Allegedly this gets fixed in the newer versions, but considering the potential lag from other mods, I do agree I rather not take the chance.  If we're going to intentionally lag the server, its better that it come from a mod that offers considerable gameplay value, rather than a purely cosmetic one.  ^^

If you have the proper versions of custom NPC's and Morph you can morph into custom NPC's you just gotta:
A) Set them up so they can be attacked and killed by the player
and
B) Make sure you have the correct versions of both mods
but there are some cons to this:
1) Your not always gonna have the hit box of the NPC
2) If you change there stats in any way it can cause problems
And if you dont believe me then go through and try every single one of them as it worked in my modded world(Before I had to restart it)

Ok well, I haven't been active at all recently but I did think I could give some Ideas to this "Plan B." I've read over what is currently planned, It seems Great! It should allow for very creative gameplay. And as far as size changing things go.. Well I have found a mod based of the new Ant-Man movie here: http://www.curse.com/mc-mods/minecraft/231447-antman
It works well on servers as i am currently playing with a few friends and i use it to help run wires and cables from Ender IO and Applied Energistics. Apparently, the mod author plans on adding the Giant-Man variant for anyone who knows their comics! Although the mod is in beta, it works reasonably well, with little to no bugs. Also, no worldgen blocks are added so thats a plus, but the suits require a sort of fuel so you will be limited to a certain time for being small. tongue

Granted if we were to pursue this, that would pretty much clinch the deal to stick with 1.7.10 as that is what this mod uses.

Its a Tardis mod that allows each player to have their own custom Tardis! Allows for coordinate based transport, as well as cross dimensional! Note: ruins Galacticraft, but i guess its technically a spaceship?

I had recently checked out the Ant-man mod, and I agree with Candy, it adds in two suits and Pym particles, which will bring a "little" taste of Big Sister in Little Brother!

Quick question... Does this suit cause any OP buffs and is it possible to disable these?  Not sure if we'd want to risk having Tinies be billions of times stronger than Normals if it doesn't make much contextual sense.  XD

I believe it is slowness and strength, but you do get a speed boost as a tiny antman/yellow jacket. Also, the Yellow Jacket suit lets you shoot a beam, which sets fire on blocks.

But yeah, slowness 3, strength 3, you can toggle speed, (for both suits), Yellow Jacket can fly if you jump and hold space, and his repulsor damages mobs and lights fires, no explosions.

Hmmm... Well that's something to consider.  I mean granted the Morph Mod wouldn't have been any better in terms of balance, but it will definitely change the dynamic of the game.  Oh why isn't anything ever easy?!  XD

There are config options in the mod, as you get a strength 3 buff when small, i suppose to follow the movie's logic. (can be disabled in config) Also, a bug i found while testing it, Yellowjacket can crash you if you are wearing the helmet but not the rest of the suit if you jump. Very odd but its the only bug i've encountered.

I personally like LB how it is currently (I haven't been on much because of stuff irl and I will be on more after about a week, I'm on vacation and can't get wifi for the life of me), but I seem to be the only one who thinks this. I do think this is a great idea though, although I hope the monthly mod elections stay though, they are fun.
