What's going on on your life?

Hi guys, Pazlin here and the reason I post this topic is because you might have something important to say, but you can't really find a place to let the people know,

Well, not anymore!

You can post anything you think it's worth chatting, or maybe something terrible happened, people can help you to cheer up!

Mine, as example.
So the typhoon 杜鵑(Dujuan, category 4, lowered to 3) just hit Taiwan, and unfortunately, we have no electricity at the moment. Today we use candles as our main light sources, me and my brothers were doing all kind of stuffs together, including playing 3DS(before it ran out of battery), drawing(only with my big bro), watching funny gaming video(after my big bro went back to tap his prison guard work), listening to music(while drawing my comic), etc..

It was, overall, fun, new but supposed be serious experience to me, it caused a lot o inconvenience to me, though. Like I'm unable to post my drawing, I can't recharge without my portable recharger(can't recharge iPad)...

Oh my goodness, a category 4? I've seen firsthand the damage it can do from the series of hurricanes that hit Florida back in 2004 - it's not a pretty sight. Stay away from them during the storm (if it has not already passed by the time you read this), and make sure you have plenty of candles and/or flashlights.

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear, Pazlin.  I pray for the safety of you and your family.  

I was in a hurricane once too once upon a time.. there was no electricity for about a week, and no news or information.  The only real nerve-wrecking part was trying to keep my father's medicine cold (it needed to be chilled), but aside from that it was nice to switch off for a while from technology.  We would light candles like you, and spend all day walking the neighborhood, talking, singing, sleeping early (cause there was no staying-up-late-checking-email). ^^

But we got lucky... many other people lost their homes or worse.  :/

Thank you, Ishida and Ciabatta, thankfully the electricity has returned. ^w^ And because of Hsinchu(where I live) is on the West side of Taiwan, we actually got no rain(still quite cloudy though) even the center of the typhoon is still on the island!

Taiwan is where natural disasters that happen often, mostly typhoons and earthquakes(speaking of which, we got a lot of them lately), we have our way to avoid the damage as much as possible. ^u0

Well, that's quite the relief to hear! I can definitely see that you guys are prepared - the electricity came back so quickly! Nonetheless, it's good to hear that you're all right and hopefully everyone near you will be as well!

On a lighter unrelated note, did you know that your time zone and ours (EDT) are currently 12 hours apart? If it's 11:00 PM over there, it's 11:00 AM on the same day over here!

The electricity was only off for the society I'm in, the city, and the other parts if Hsinchu is mostly fine. ^w^
And those we have those candles for a long time, finally got a chance to use the. :3

Wow, really? OwO It'd be easy to know your time there, then!

Oh yeah, I saw that on your deviantart! I hope you get to buy one of those Mudkip plushies sometime! I'm glad you have fun stuff in your train stations there, makes it interesting to go there.
