Asonja's Progress

I have no idea where to put this, so I'm just going to put this here as my best guess.

Anyways, I have finally managed to get Forge to realize that a new mod is in it! Hurrah! Very Happy

After I get my first item in (The Black Cookie), I will finally be able to relax and work on this another day!

I'm so glad that folks are already taking their first steps into mod work, and it's only uphill from here once you have a solid foundation built!  ^.^

Well, there's actually an issue... Sad

Unfortunately where the tutorial was pointing out the textures for the item, it is strangely not working and I have rewatched the step three time to restart, and go back to it again, but it is strangely not working. So, I am very sorry to say that I have completely abandoned my part since I cannot get the texture implant to work the way I want it to. I'm sorry DX

The thing is, I have followed the video exactly, but probably the reason why is the example Crayfish was using was a single word, and mine had two words instead and that probably messed things up. I have currently deleted everything in the progress, loosing about 2 hours of work time when I realized things were not going well after 3 or more attempts.

Thank you very much! I didn't think that I was able to do something like this, and it feels GREAT to accomplish something XD

You have no idea how happy I was when this finally worked. It was amazing.

However, I have yet to make this an edible item, so I will do that at a later date. For now, I need to cherish this moment for the rest of my fluffy Dragon Life!

Woo! Well-deserved!

And yeah, take it in strides!  I for instance am at least one lesson behind you, but that's okay because my goal here is to serve as Documentor... I want to make sure people can follow along and catch up quickly so we can all achieve some degree of knowledge parity soon (at least for simple items). ^^

I have just discovered a piece of coding that will give an Enchanted effect to an item. I'm not going to tell you what item has the said enchantment, but I did figure it out nonetheless!

Perhaps I am a bit TOO far ahead?  Laughing

Indeed! You can still put Potion effects in them; it just gives it the overall effect. It's just for show, maybe if you put it that way  Laughing

Edit: I found the code for random drops in grass! Yaaaaay!
