New game: Who would win?

I think we shouldhave a game on here focused on battles between fantasy(or even real life) characters. Every week I will have two characters here for you to decide who would win. Battles like Superman and The Hulk, Gandalf and Dumbledore, or even some Minecraft characters 
. Anyways just reply who you believe would win and we will see where it goes. I would like to see a debate come out of this. In your reply also explain why you think that character would win.
This weeks face off is for: X-Men vs. The Avengers. Feel free to add in comic and movie characters. Also you can Google these teams to get and idea of how to respond with a good argument.
