Christmas contest?

Hello everyone. So I was thinking and thought with christmas coming about an event we could do. So I was thinking and what about a building contest? The theme would be Tarzan...no just kidding it would be christmas themed The way it would work is simple heres kinda the jist.
-players are given a specific ammount of land and height to be restrained to
-the admins would supply infinite ammount of specific blocks to the contest builders (yes I am aware of the ability for people to pontentially steal these objects so thats a kinda unfinished idea)
-if the rule above is applied then people can bring stuff from the real world into the construction would to add to their build*optional*
-after about 1 week so it is fair to all time zones a fair judge can come and well judge to see who they think the best build was
-since cheese is the currency maybe the reward could be cheese such as first place 5000 cheese and second like 1000 the numbers can be fiddled with
SO yeah I thought "hey this could be fun to do again" so why not?

Well on that vein, how about using Little Brother as an isolated environment to create something (winter or Christmas-related) worthy of being imported into the Big Sister server?  Something useful like a snow town, a Candyland, a big glaciar, Elsa's castle, or a penguin paradise.  All players would be able to join during this time in Creative mode, allowing full creative rein.  ^^

As for cash prizes, yeah we can come up with a grand prize amount like that, a second and third prize, and consolation prizes for all that participate.

I say lets do it on the littlebrother server. It sounds like an interesting idea to bring the build into the other server but how would we do it with the mods on the littlebrother server?

Ah, well the proposed Dececember mods are for christmas theming, so they might be able to accentuate the design a bit.  I think it would help add an additional dimension to the contest as it would allow for grading of how "portable" the design can be when transitioning it back into a 1.6.4 world.  The easier it is for me to worldedit a few minor things and port it to big sis, the greater the chances that it'll win. ^^

Interesting so it sounds like this is quite possible just have to figure a time to start it. I was thinking this weekend at saturday and ends the saturday after that so sunday you can judge.

The 20th and 21st seem like better dates, much closer to Christmas, but not TOO close that it gets in the way of things.  

Plus it gives me time to set up LB, and people time to get used to the December Flavor mods.

Ok. I'd be happy to help to the best of my ability. I could probably build some building areas.

Now we just need people to say if they're going to participate so we know how many plots to build.

I hate to say it but I'm canceling this event idea. Sadly I am a little to busy with the holidays and not many people seemed interested in participating. In fact I was the only person who would be there everyone was just a "maybe" or "might not but i'll try" which is understandable with the holidays. Anyways have a good break.
