Disapearing Merchants (Villagers)

At approximately 5:30 pm. (Eastern Time). I noticed that Pumpkin Grove's Merchants (villagers/testificates) had vanished. They were enclosed in a solid structure with only entrance being 2 iron doors with wooden buttons. There were 4, they had white nametags, and were named (if I remember) Outback Merchant, Outback Farmer, Outback Elder, and Infection Survival Merchant. The building looked the same as it does in the photos. Except no white and black wool and no sign. I have no evidence to suggest they were murdered except that there were no obvious clues, no blocks were disturbed, and no other mobs were harmed. This is not the first time Pumpkin Grove has seen villagers disappear, but the first time in this building witch was well built. I hope someone has time to help me figure this one out, if someone decides to fess up to the murder of the villagers (if thats the case). I will take into account the context of murder, player, and background and if possible dole out consequence accordingly. If it was an accident it is understandable.
