A Buggy Pickaxe

Hey there,

I have a slight problem

There is a bugged Iron pickaxe in my inventory. I cant throw it away, Its at 0 durability (which is impossible since the lowest number is 1) When I use it it destroys one block, dissapears without the tool breaking sound and reappears. Sometimes it multiplies. Its taking up space in my inventory, and I cant place it in a chest

Character Description: Every 100000 years, a very special and rare phenomenon happens. A single bit of Eronuim falls away from a very distant planet (made of Eronium) because its star has grown very large and ripping the planet to tiny pieces. But the planet returns to its normal shape every 100000 years by the magical force of Eronuim. A little hamster was born not too far from Dublin, A very busy City on the east coast of Ireland. He had brown hair with a white belly and deep brown eyes. At the age of 4 years he and his family were caught and brought to Dublin to a pet shop. There he stayed until the age of 6. The scientists were observing the sky in every country carefully. There was going to be a bright green spark as the Eronuim entered the atmosphere. Finally it showed up, A green flame could be seen descending over Dublin. How unlucky they were. A Deep Blue rock from the sky was bound to catch some attention. The Eronium bashed into the ceiling of the pet shop, leaving a gaping hole in the roof. It was headed for the Hamster cage! Adam closed his eyes and waited for the impact, suddenly he could feel the rock land gently on his back, only to pierce his skin, turn into liquid and enter his bloodstream. It ran all the way to his tiny brain. Adam could feel a weird set of information fly by in his brain. He knew immediately what it was. The weird symbols... were English. He gained human intelligence! He looked at the bars in the cage and concentrated very hard. They immediately sprang open! The eronuim had given him magical powers! The pet shop was filth. The animals were usually in pain and often had sicknesses. The shop owner didn't care though. As long as he got money, he didn't care for anything. Adam knew, that with his new powers, he had to help everyone escape. The bars on every cage nearly exploded. It woke the shopkeeper up, but all the animals were already outside, running to their new found freedom. Adam kept running however he was tired and exhausted. He had to sleep somewhere during the night. He looked at all the soft green grass and for the first time in 2 years he tasted the life of luxury. He was awoken by a rustle in the grass. He turned around to find the cause of this strange rustling sound. He turned its little head around. He was an unusually small hamster merely a third of the size of the average hamster. He kept looking; suddenly he saw a white thing laying in the ground a couple of meters away. He was just about to run away when he was blocked by a large cage. He was running so fast, he couldn’t stop. His momentum kept him going until he bashed his head into the hard Iron bars on the other side of the cage. Half a dozen of men in white overcoats stood around the cage. One of them said, "Do you have our precious little rock?" Adam immediately understood them. To his surprise his mouth, suddenly started making weird twisted shapes and a weird language came out of them. He said "The crystal is gone somewhere inside my body". The men looked surprised. They had never seen anything non-human that can talk. "well we have to take it out then..." The next scientist said "we need to get it out of you" Suddenly The little hamster remembered. Immediately one of the men fell flat on his face. He was followed by the next one, then the next. "GRAB THE HAMSTER!" shouted one of the men and immediately fell. There were only two left. They turned around to each other, got lifted clean off the ground and rammed into each other. The cage exploded throwing bits of plastic around the field. It wouldn’t be long until the men wake up. He had to flee. He dashed off, not daring to look behind him. The sun has slowly rising over the horizon. He didn’t know how far away from Dublin he got. His little ears picked up a sound. He turned cautiously towards it. I dint sound like a human, rather like a soft humming sound. He peered down the hill he just climbed. The sight terrified him. He had nowhere to run. The wide rushing river came into sight before him. Hamsters couldn't swim, or at least he couldn't. He came up close to the river. There was no way to cross it. He had to rest. His sleepy eyes slowly started collapsing. He laid his head on the soft green grass. He would have to think about what would happen next. He was awoken by a soft gasp. He jumped off the grass and looked around him. A girl looked down at him. She had one long pigtail falling down her shoulder. I slowly began backing away. I didn’t trust any human. Not after what happened with the men with white coats. "Don’t be scared of me" she whispered even though she knew he wouldn’t understand. He looked into her deep brown eyes. He knew immediately he had to trust her. "Hello" Adam said a little shyly. The girl was a bit taken back by this, but she soon collected herself and asked "Did you just speak?" He came up close to her. She was standing up, but her pigtail almost reached the ground. "Yes" I replied "Will you help me?" She bent down to pick him up. He though this is his chance. For 2 years he lived in a pet shop which was dirtier than a pigsty. She looked carefully at Adam and then... started crying. "What’s wrong?" Adam asked. "You-you need to go some-where" she said through tears "My par-ents died, and I'm all al-one for thr-ee years!" She shouted out the last sentence. "I'm not going anywhere" he said. "You’re not?" she asked wiping away the tears. “Well why are you in such a hurry then?” The last of her tears fell on the ground as new hope sparked within her. “There isn’t much time to explain now” He was speaking very quickly now. His ears picked up sounds from the bushes. They were close. The last word echoed in his mind. Close. He shook himself and continued. “We have to get out of here. Now.” She nodded her head and got ready to run. But where to? Adam was about to find out. From what Adam learned on the 13” TV back in the pet shop, logic told him that these men, who were all taller, and had more muscles than the girl, should’ve caught up to them already. However, they were getting farther away, in fact. He’d have to ask about that when they got there. “Careful now” she whispered to Adam. Suddenly, he made a sharp turn to the right. They were heading away from the river now. After what seemed like only a couple of seconds, the lights of Dublin appeared. He saw them through the gap between her fingers. The girl ran into the city and dashed by several streets. She turned down an alleyway to the right and stopped. A minute later, angry screams of four men could be heard in the distance. “Quiet now” He whispered. Several seconds later, they passed us and kept going straight ahead. He breathed a sigh of relief. Just then Adam noticed how wet he was. Bits of his fur clung to one another. Did he fall into the river? No, that wasn’t it. He was dry when they left. The girl looked at him, and a bright smile appeared on her face. She burst out laughing. I was a little embarrassed. “You look so funny!” She continued laughing. She soon got control over herself though. “Sorry, we got to get you a towel”. “By the way, my name is Anna” They were walking somewhere to the other end of the city. Adam didn’t know where she was taking him. He wasn’t in this part of Dublin for a very long time. “I’m Adam. Nice to meet you.” He learned that phrase back in the pet shop. “So… What exactly happened back there?” The sun was high in the sky. The city was overloaded with tourists. “Oh that’s a very long story. It goes something like this…” (To be continued)

I'm assuming a simple restart won't get rid of it? O_o

I might suggest trying to put all your normal items inside a chest for safety (leaving behind all the bugged pickaxes), then having an admin run the /clear command for you, to see if that will remove the wayward pickaxes.

Okay, then we'll try the other thing... pretty sure commissioners and moderators (and of course myself) will be able to do this next time you're on the server. There are more drastic options if necessary, but I would hope that we won't need them.
