The Yogscast review it forever ago. So since getting out of vanilla once again, I heard about this server through a friend of mine, Raddaman8000. One thing that really appealed
to me was how professional the server looked, being a server using clientside mods.

Right, this is a nice little app here, but you’re probably going to have to re-do it. It isn’t terrible, but it’s not quite up-to-par with our standards.

First, your reason to join gives no specific reasons to join our server in particular. We like to have something of a loyal player base, who won’t abandon us completely the second another Gulliver server appears. So, if you could find some solid, logical reasons to join our community in particular, that’d make this a past.

Your answer to question three is a pass. It feels a bit mediocre compared to some applicants (who have specified parts of their character that are beneficial), so if you could add some more of that, that’ll be some brownie points for you. ^^

As for your five (ahem, six) facts, they seem a little short, but besides that I think they’re a pass, overall. Just remember, we’re looking for a feel of your character through these facts (though obviously you don’t want to show off the ‘bad’ bits, per se ).

Your answer to question five is half-right: you quoted a right (or responsibility), but you forgot to state why you quoted it - rather, why you like that particular quote. That’s necessary.

And you got question six right. Funny, everyone seems to get that one…

Overall, I’m gonna have to put you on hold, but you’ve still got another chance (or three). Just follow my critiquing above, fixing up questions 2-5, and you should be good to go

I stopped playing because I felt I needed a break after playing non stop for 4 or so months. I would like to get back into the modded server as I know from my last experience it would be something diffrent, new, and exciting once again.

I'm great at building, not fantastic but still somewhat good, I've been a moderator on multiple servers, althrough I don't want to get into more of that work since I already have a fair bit, I've played minecraft since Beta 1.3, and I'm  am not the one to refuse boring and monotonus work. So I'll work in the mines for my masters, Lastly I've made quite a lot freinds through Minecraft aswell. So I would take it I'm likable and helpfull. (I'm very optimistic as you can see by my self happiness levels)

Well, you just about fixed everything, except you still have absolutely no specific reasons why our server in particular stands out against other servers, except that we use this mod. I'll let you pass, since you've lasted through two reviews already, so I guess that means you think we're worth enough of your time you won't simply abandon the server once you get another option for a Gulliver server.

Hmm, I suggest you reread the first page again or look back at other successful applicants. Not only are your answers really short, but the format could use some help. You also seem a bit confused on the fifth question, you need to just post down one right or responsibility. Talents,Skills: i am decent at building and i love to explore and look at what other people have built for insperation. i try to respect agreements i have made and try to help the other person in the agreement. i can be very responsible and good at organizing and planning projects. i am good at looking all the way around a problem or in other words thinking of many different ways to solve it.

It's looking better, though you really need to fix up on your facts. Remember personality traits are something to talk about in the earlier questions, with question 4 we want sentence long interesting facts about you (and it bulleted form as well). After you fix that, and clean up your application a little more I'll give you a full review.

Well the format is better now, and I notice you did take some of my advice regarding question 4. Even if most of your substance was copypasta from the previous attempt, you've earned a full review. With that, let's see if this is whitelist worthy or not...

Question 1 - No problems here

Question 2 - Fair enough, after the general vanilla experience it's only natural to be curious about modded servers. I'm glad you watched our video, though I wonder if you've had prior experience with the mod. We want to be sure that a Gulliver experience is something you really want. Perhaps there is something you like about our trailer, or even the mod itself?

Just a teeny bit under the word limit as well, though after a little fine tuning that shouldn't be an issue

Question 3 - Builders are nice, plus you do seem like the type who would love to explore. There are quite a lot of diverse builds here, so you shouldn't have issues getting inspiration. It sounds like you have a respectful personality as well. I'm a little bit concerned about the bossiness, but at least you're being honest about it. Long as you can control it, then there won't be any problems.

Question 4 - Gah, and it was going so well XD I like that you took my formatting advice, and also made your facts longer. However, there are some issues which ultimately hold you back. If you want to capitalize on your minecraft experience or personality, the earlier questions give you that opportunity. Remember your facts are supposed to be somewhat random, but contain interesting tidbits about yourself which separate you from others (a favorite hobby or music genre for example).

Fact 1: Well it's safe to assume you'll be a tiny then XD but still, this is a minecraft related fact. Replace this.

Fact 2: Another minecraft related fact.

Fact 3: Not sure if this applies to game or just in general. Either way, I would recommend replacing this.

Fact 4: Though a strong characteristic, more fitting to Question 3.

Fact 5: like above fits question 3.

Question 5 - Interesting pick, Gulliver does give general exploration a nice twist.

Well, as it stands this isn't good enough just yet. Though look on the bright side, I told you everything that's wrong so you can give it another shot. I'll also give you the little challenge of not simply copy and pasting your previous application (rewording is fine). If you fix most of the stuff I have mentioned earlier, then you should be good for whitelisting.

why: i used to play a lot of vanilla but i just couldn't find anything else to do.... I've tried red stone survival worlds mining servers. i just couldn't find anything that stayed fun. and then i found the mods. I've be messing around a lot with mods and one of my favorites were the Gulliver mod and the little blocks mod. it was just so fun to make miniature houses to decorate my house with of live in myself!

Talents and Skills: I love to build even though i am not the best i still try by best. i love to wander around looking at what other people have created and getting inspiration from their builds and also the landscape around me. i like to create things and draw. i also sing and do music. i like writing story's and funny poems. i like to help people and can be a leader when needed but i am fine with being a follower to . i may be a bit bossy at times but i am getting better a controlling that. i like to make minecraft as real as possible. even though i am starting school soon i will be able to be on for about 6 hours every weekend ( 3 a day). i will try my best to come on as often as possible.

I found the mod pretty much right after it was released, and followed for a good year quite solidly. Throughout that year I looked around for servers, but they were rare, and when there was one, it was always just hosted off of some dudes internet for a couple hours a week. Go forward a bit to a few days ago, I was in my room just chilling and remembered this mod, then found your guys video on youtube. Dedicated gullivers mod server is a hell yeah, so I wanna join up.

3) Please explain how your talents, skills, experience, personality traits, and aspirations can help contribute positively to our server.
Talents... uh... well, to be honest, my talents are really in other areas. Cause its my guess that i'm probably not gonna be engaged in a gunfight, be figuring out good insert and exfil LZ's, and be communicating with military radio etiquette between units on this server, so, most I can say is that i'm just not gonna be a problem, i'm probably gonna explore a bit, and slay a lot of mobs. Really, I'm just looking to try out gullivers mod in a multiplayer setting, and am not looking to fuck that up for anybody else or myself.

4) Please list five random facts about yourself that can help differentiate you from other players.

The amount of servers i have hopped onto that litterally has an entire spawn that's just a bunch of pixel art is arguably too damn high, and it's nice to know that when spawning in, no ones gonna be greeted by this:

Our first point of conversation will be the amount of profanity in your application. Quite frankly, it's unacceptable. Don't get me wrong, this isn't "Babby's First Minecraft Server". People swear occasionally. It happens. However, we do request it's kept to a minimum, especially since we have a significant population of preteens and other assorted young'uns. Please remember that not everyone has played the same amount of Call of Duty as you the same level of maturity as you.

Number 1: ) Success.

Number 2: ) Well, interesting. This tells me that you want to play the Gulliver mod, which is obviously important. This doesn't tell me why you want to join our server, besides that it exists.

Number 3: ) Oh, your talents are in other areas? You have absolutely 0 talents that are relevant? That's false. This entire beginning bit basically seems like you just throwing around military jargon for no reason. You "having no talents" is either modesty or laziness. You could have easily spun that bit about "radio etiquette" into a plug for your "excellent communication skills" or something of that nature.

Number 4: ) Oh boy. While the bit about "joining the Marine Corp" is certainly an acceptable and actually a rather interesting fact, the secondary bit to that worries me. It shows a blatant disregard for other people, one that I don't believe we have space for in our ranks.

Verdict: ) Unfortunately, I don't believe you'll fit into our server's culture. Between your rampant use of profanity and some alarming personality traits, I cannot whitelist you in good conscience. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

It's a Saturday and people have lives to live, so of course it's going to take a while to get to yours.  Even more so since you've already burned through three or so revisions due to a complete lack of care and attention for our application, so there is no rush to let in a potentially-uninspiring player if you probably won't spend more than an hour or so on our server.

If you truly want to get on and be a good player on our server, you will wait your turn.
