-RP START- Captain Nathaniel Wrecker's Pirate-y Adventure!

It was tough to think straight after the blast, but Flamm realized quickly that he wouldn't be of much use in this imminent long-range battle. Unless...

Flamm grabbed a sack filled with a few cannonballs at a time, unintentionally showing off the strength associated with his large size. "Listen to the captain!" he yelled. "If you can use one of those cannons, I'd be more than happy to keep you supplied with ammo!" He'd seen the cannons being test-fired at the port; if worse came to worse, he could at least attempt to fire the cannons. He just hoped that wouldn't happen.

Timon gets up and sees there is no one here, he runs outside and sees his crew and he noticed the chaos loads his pistol and gets ready for battle and runs to his crew This is the first time that I asleep, next time don't sit too long

Wyck shot a bored look at the captain as he came in yelling. *sigh* what now? His eyes widened in shock as a cannonball sailed right past him, almost hitting him. Still holding his mug, Wyck spun to where the cannonball travelled. He saw the bar shattered into a pile of glass and timber. Wyck slowly turned back to the bar's entrance, dropping his mug, eyes filled with rage and a wicked smile on his lips. He removed his hand from his pocket, juggling a small explosive while storming out the door, almost knocking some of the others aside.

Upon leaving the tavern, Wyck took in the scene of chaos, flames and destruction. He stopped for a moment, staring at it in awe, before an even bigger smile stretched across his face. He roared and cackled excitedly and set one of his bombs alight with the flame that came from his mouth.

The captains commands snapped him out of his crazed bloodlust, and he stood looking at him, a confused expression on his face for a moment. He then looked at the bomb still lit in his hands and threw it away quickly, it exploding in a nearby alley. Wyck looked up at the cannons. While he preffered a close combat approach, his crewmates seemed to have most of that covered. He spat to his side and began running to the tower. Hed never used a cannon before, but he knew enough about explosives that any that use them should come naturally to him.

Annabell shot target after target, stopped, swapped sides an did the same again. Some enemies got a little too close in which she full force punted them with her mechanical foot.

She took a glance at Wyck's explosives. "Tried loading them into the cannon?" She said with a smirk.

Captain Nathaniel Wrecker watched his crew get ready to fight… and then watched Annabelle unload her revolvers in the general direction of the enemy ship. Maybe one or two pirates got caught by lucky bullets, but in reply, a cannon round sailed right over the half-elf inventor’s head, prompting everyone with half a mind to duck. Unfortunately, Fisk (Cykrion) stumbled out of the wrecked tavern just in time to take the ball full to the chest. It was fairly wise for the crew to avert their eyes while the inevitable happened.

Wrecker swore as only two of them ran up to use the tower’s cannons, but Wyck turned out to be a fair shot, and Flam helped him reload fairly quickly. Given the number of cannons up there, they could probably wreck the ship fairly easily… as long as they avoided getting shot back.

(For you two, just say how many cannons you ready up and where they’re aimed at, and I’ll determine results)

Meanwhile, the Bloodletter ship finally got close enough to shore for it’s crew to disembark… and boy were there a lot of crew. A small horde of pirates, hardly two the same race (or size, for that matter), practically cascaded over one side and rushed Nathaniel’s crew. Thomas, Nathaniel Wrecker’s tiny aide, slid off the larger pirates shoulder after pulling a tiny, portable gatling gun out of the captain’s collar, and he made his way over to Victoria to help her fend off tiny pirates.

The rest would soon find themselves swarmed, though there were a fair few flintlock-pistol-wielding pirates in the oncoming horde, so finding cover would probably be a good idea.

(For the rest of you, this is a redshirt-based fight. You can kill as many as you want… but if you go overboard, you’re dead. It’s better to be safe rather than sorry.)

Annabell cursed as she saw thnumber of approaching pirates, thinking wisely she took cover, not close enough to be noticed and far enough to get a few decent shots in.

"S***" thought Olivia "I have no choice left now". Olivia placed a ward on herself (unforchantly as it was not really in her area it was not that strong). "Captain how long do you think you can hold them off for?"

Stella in panic, fires a few fireballs from wand, taking out a few enemies, but she knows she needs to do more to help her crew mates.

"Hay, Mage girl" Olivia calls out.
"Can you make wards if so can you place them on everyone or at least the lizard man and cat man."

"Alright" she says, and then places them on everyone alive, This is the time to take orders she thought

"Son of a-!" Annabell cries as her hidey hole gets bombarded by many pirates. She slipped through the area she was in and headed towards the rush.

After considering an upfront attack she snuck behind several enemies and killed them in a number of shots before finding Olivia and the strange girl, said to be named Stella.

"Thanks Mage girl" Olivia shouts.

"Oh hey there Annabell, how are you holding up? If your ok could you cover me for a while?"

Wyck stared at you for a moment, then grabbed one of the explosives, those with a hard coating around them. "Good thinking lady!" Wyck poured the explosives into the barrel, them clanging noisy as they rolled down.

Wyck saw the bloodletter ship pull up at the dock, its crew pouring from its decks. Perfect Wyck pulled the cannon round with a grunt, and lit the fuse, aiming for the boat. The cannon exploded violently, spraying the explosives out towards the boat like a shotgun, and throwing Wyck back with the blast.

He slowly dragged himself to his feet and stumbled over to the next cannon, gesturing to flam to load it up. Well, lets not do that again he thought, while leaning on the cannon to keep himself upright.

Alfonz had been outside with the crew as the chaos ensued, his sword ready at his side. He stood alert and readied for the incoming pirates. As they started piling up onto the land, Alfonz quickly ducked behind a nearby crate and with no ranged weapons, watched and waited for the pirates to approach the group, and just hoped he wouldn't be alone in the fight.

(Sorry for my absences, I just haven't been that available with everything that's going on IRL. xP)

Flamm watched as Wyck was thrown backwards, barely suppressing a smile. Serves him right, he thought. Rudeness only reveals rude awakenings.

He acknowledged Wyck's gesture and loaded the cannons. Without a way to light them, however, it didn't matter how horrible his aim was. "Hey, Wyck!" he called after the lizard. "Mind lighting these for me?" Flamm did his best to aim the four cannons he loaded: Two at the main body of the ship, one at the mast, and one at the  approaching pirates. When the cannons did go off, he hoped he aimed correctly.

Timon runs to a pirate jumps over the head stabs him in the back while he pulls out quickly in the air and throws the sword into the pirate face, which is located directly behind Alfonz and said, "Need help" runs to the dead pirate and pulls the sword out from the face.

Wyck spun on his heel, he looked towards the 4 cannons lined up and ready to fire. Wyck looked impressed he got them ready so quickly Nice he shifted his gaze to where the cannons aimed, a stern look on his face However... he walked casually over, eyes still on the target and shifted 2 if the cannons direction ever so slightly.

He then inhaled and bent over the fuses one by one, shooting a spark of flame over each, igniting them instantly. He took a step back, as he wasn't sure his last attempt would be repeated again.

As the crew cut their way through the horde of hostile pirates, a few specific problems arose.

For one, the wards were hardly as effective as some might have wished - probably due to the vagueness of said wards. For one, Wyck was going to have some bad bruising, and a couple light burns. Meanwhile, as Annabelle tried to get back to the rest of the crew while back-stabbing/shooting pirates, one particularly buff one, roughly 2x on the gulliver scale, and covered in thick, almost rocky skin, whipped around after she dumped all of her bullets into it’s back. Besides getting the large creature enraged, the bullets hadn’t done much else: the crew would need to combine their efforts to take this one down… and it’d be wise to avoid the rather large cutlass it wielded, which was coming down at Annabelle like a guillotine.

(For this guy, just post what actions you’re taking against him, and I’ll decide results.)

Of course, there were plenty of weaker pirates around that could still prove a threat if too much attention was taken away from them…

As it turned out, Flamm wasn’t a bad shot… and Wyck needed to stick to his explosives. The lizard nudged the two cannons aimed at the main body of the ship off-target slightly, and as all four cannons went off, one after another, he would see that that wasn’t entirely a bad thing. Wyck’s prototype-shotgun-explosive-cannon slammed into the hull of the ship, ripping open the whole side and beginning to let gallons of water in. One explosive ball slammed into the midst of the horde of pirates, diminishing their force greatly, while the one aimed for their sails went right through them… and didn’t affect anything, much. Maybe some grapeshot would be more effective. The other two balls, however, skidded across the deck of the enemy ship, wiping most of it’s cannons and remaining crew off, and blowing right through one of the masts. The chaotic destruction forced a few of the horde to retreat to help repair the vessel, and prevented any return fire. For now.

The ship was still standing, however, even if it was steadily sinking. A few more balls to the hull might speed it up, but there were a lot of vulnerable crew on the deck...

Oh boy... Annabell thought as the blade came down on her, thinking fast (As that is her job) she half-rolled out the way causing the pirates cutlass to ...

((I guess this is up to you Burger, I would be thankful if you didn't kill her, but it is your choice after all ))

"We'll look like ill have to do it with no one covering me" though Olivia .
Olivia scaned the sorounding area for anywhere with cover, she spotted one behind a large crate. Befor taking cover Olivia sent a red bolt of healing at wyck and set a restorations spell on Annabell which would heal her gradually over time.( burger can choose wheatear these work.

Olivia then dashed behind the crate and pulled the second bag on her belt wide open. She then (after rummaging around a bit) pulled out a piece of black chalk and drew a circle on the ground, she made a bigger circle around hat with a piece of blue chalk. Taking the black chalk again she drew strange symbols on between the black and blue circle then stepped in between them herself.

Whithout much rummaging this time Olivia took a hand full of bones out of her bag and made six piles at regular intervals, she then took out a piece of red chalk and made little circles around the piles of bones with a line leading to the middle of the black circle. Finally she removed a smaller black bag out of her bag and pored black shimmering powder where the red lines crossed and she un sheathed her black iron knife and drew it across her left hand ( where there were tons of scares already) and let some drops fall onto the black powder.

Finaly( for real this time) she started chanting in a strange tounge and her eyes seemed to almost glow red.

Alfonz blinked, and stared at Timon, "Uh-huh.." He rose to his feet, sword in hand, and shook his head ready for the fight already going on. He looked ahead as one of the pirates charged at him with his sword. Alfonz stood there, and as he came closer ran at the pirate and stuck his sword straight through his chest. He pushed the pirate to the ground and pulled his sword away. He huffed, then looked up at the damaged ship and cannonball that had hurdled into the group of pirates coming at them, causing more damage. Then, another large, stronger and odder looking pirate caught his eye as he swung his cutlass down on... One of his crew!? He started to run over about to help, when [whatever Burger decides happens..]

Stella stands back, and prepares shielding spells for herself and her cremates, but not sure if one would work at this point on Annabeth... [Up to Burger if the spells work at all] Her progress is slow, due to the fact she needs to continuously blast the enemies around her.

The gem on Olivia staff turns a cold black colour and looks as if it about to break , she holds it high then suddenly steps into the black circle and slams the bottom of the staff into the mixture of black powder and her own blood. Sparks fly along the red lines before the image is blotted out by a dark swirling cloud, which threatens to break out of the circle but is held in by the now glowing blue line of chalk.

After a while the black cloud subsides and revels that where there was piles of bones now stand skeletons. Olivia is hurriedly speaking to the in an incontrahensible language. Stopping and lifts her staff with the gem( which has now returned to it's original clouded white)pointed towards the sky, it sends a number of small white glowing spheres which fly off and attach themselves to the rest of the crews shoulders. The orbs explain in Olivia's voice that " the skeletons will help protect you". After this the skeletons walk off , most of them are carting ghostly swords and some also have a ghostly shield to match but a couple a have ghostly guns instead.

Flamm watched the ball of light land on his shoulder warily, and wasn't reassured by the fact that it was from the Dark Elf, Oliva. Something wicked this way comes, he thought when it mentioned the skeleton warriors. Flamm despised necromancy and all who practiced it, but he'd just have to deal with it.

He looked at where the cannonballs landed, then watched as the ship slowly started to sink. He loaded 3 of the 4 back up, then saw the massive pirate attacking Annabell. The cannons were in the right position that Annabell would be safe, assuming she either didn't lunge forward, or didn't get hit by the pirate's cutlass. He loaded the last one, then aimed it carefully at the pirate. Even if Annabell didn't survive the pirate's swing, that pirate was dead. "Light 'em up, Wyck!" he shouted. "...And don't move this last one!" he added, gesturing at the one pointed at the pirate.

((Just thinking out loud: half-steps probably won't cut it; they'll cut you.)

Wyck peered over the side of the tower at the destruction of the boat below. His eyes lit up and he gave a wide, toothy grin, wiping the muck and his wounds with the back of his hand, making him flinch a little at the pain.

He spied the hulking stone monster bearing down on his crew, and his grin faded. Despite what he had said earlier, he was still loyal to his group, like his own family of thieves years before. He was about to run down to assist, but his eyes then focused on the scattered pirates around the crew.

Wyck turned to Flam, grabbing him by the shoulder "We need to keep 'em guys off their backs while they deal with the big bugger" pointing towards the ones in the town and running off the ship with an extended finger. "Got any special stuff around here that can take 'em out?"

Seeing that Flam could handle the cannons, Wyck rummaged in his jacket and tool belt for a weapon. Most of his explosives were short range, but he did have one that let him throw a little further... that and the elevated position gave him some distance when throwing them too.

He took out a black sphere with a chain tied to one side, a long fuse oozing out from the opposite side. He lit the fuse and grabbed the chain with one hand, spinning the bomb around his head, building momentum. After a few seconds he launched the bomb out the tower, towards the surrounding pirates, before readying another.
